Last time I made the statement that "we must possess what God has provided", so to follow on.
In Acts chapter 3 we remember the account of Peter and John and the raising up of the lame man. Peter made the statement "such as I have give I thee". I suppose many sermons have been preached on the question of, what did Peter have to give? However the point I want to make is that in order for Peter to give away anything he had to possess that something first.
I am sure there are many things that we could rehearse as benefits provided for us by the Lord. Indeed they are provided but have we possessed them, are they really ours? Rom 5:17 speaks of the opportunity to recieve "abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness". Have you done that, have you specifically, recieved these from the Lord? Recieveing means to "take to oneself, to take unto, to take possession of". We have been provided much, but how much have taken hold of as our own, how much provision have we gathered up? When we go to the throne to "obtain grace to help in a time of need" how much do we get a "handbasket" or a "shopping cart"? Praise God there is an abundance available make sure you get all you need and more to give away.
"Such as I have" What's available? What have we layed hold of?

Steve, this teaching you have shared has just reminded me of something God showed me. I saw myself in a massive retail distribution warehouse. There were provisions as far as the eye could see and I was standing there with Father God. He said, 'all this is for my children but some walk out of here with just a tin of beans'. God was showing me that what he has is mine in abundance, so not to settle for less than what he wants me to have.
Amen! His intention for us is a life of abundance. Not just an abundance of things but of life itself. Life in this context is His nature and abilities. Thank God there are no limits in Him.
Blessings in Jesus
